So there's a lot of debate whether or not the plastic fretboards are good or not but I haven't seen a lot, if any, for sale as parts. Might be due to location (UK) but I would love to make a ukulele with one to see how it compares.

Anyone know anything, or where to buy them?

(Another option is to head to Wilko's and buy their 5 uke, and strip it off that)

I can make a soprano size one out of Capped ABS with a carbon fiber type finish....I made one a few years ago but it didn't raise much interest.
Do's anyone think they could catch on ???.... Here's one

Black plastic is too dull. I use proper Mother of Toilet Seat.

When you think about it ...Anything hard and stiff will do the job :o

I am not going to touch this with a 10 foot long pole.

The carbon fiber finish looks amazing, Timbuck. Can understand why some might be too reserved having that with a solid wood.

That resonator looks awesome Prof Chris! But too sure about the toilet seat though. The less you know...

And I guess there's currently no market/interest in plastic fretboards XD
