View Full Version : If you could only have one size uke

If you could only have one size uke which one would it be? I am looking to buy a really nice uke and I am torn as to what size I want. As far as brand I am looking at Koaloha. As of now I am thinking about the concert size. I am curious about the soprano size as well but I have never held one. I do like the thought of the classic uke size. And then there is the soprano with the concert neck. That sounds like a nice combination. What are your thoughts?

Thanks,
Erik

I think it's situation I'd never want to be in.

THIS.

Although, I'd have to go with a concert. It's a nice happy medium. Or a long-scale soprano.

Erik, if you buy this (http://cgi.ebay.com/pikake-KOALOHA-CONCERT-UKULELE-Hard-Case-DVD-Tuner_W0QQitemZ270371085302QQihZ017QQcategoryZ1622 4QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262) I'm sure you won't regret it. Partially because it's a sweet uke, and partially because it'll stop me from buying it when I don't have a source of income. ;)

I keep reading this question over and over and over and I still can't comprehend it. Is it my vision or something? Is part of the text in another language? It's still not registering....

I guess I'd choose a *mutters*

And I stand by that.

I've had everything from sopranino to baritone - and now I'm down to one soprano (Kanile'a K-1 - "Junior") and one concert (Kanile'a K-1 - "Betty"). If I "had" to get rid of one of those...I think I'd keep Betty.

I think if I could only choose one size, I would go with a tenor and a soprano.

Betty! As in...She's a Betty! Veronica is a tramp. She is the Ginger to Betty's Mary Ann.

In a box of Neopolitan ice cream I let everyone else have the vanilla and strawberry, I went for the chocolate. ;)

Gotta go with Betty again. Wilma should've left Fred's butt - such a PITA. Barney is loaded with humor and good nature. Betty made the better choice.

Sounds like you like Barney more than Betty...not that there's anything wrong with that. I am gay after all....

I was having lunch in a restaurant in Brentwood, CA in the late '80s and Tina Louse (Ginger) was sitting at the table next to mine with some young guy who looked like the agent type. What were they discussing? Who was hotter, Ginger or Mary Ann. I kid you not. It was kind of sad.

Here's how both of them have aged, BTW (Wells is 70 and Louise is 75):

I agree. For a couple of 70+ year old women who were stuck on a deserted island, they look great.
