Something I should have done ages ago. Glued some cork to wood battens, hole saw, sanding and hey presto, 30 spool clamps.

....and Bob's Your Uncle .

Whats them for
to be honest Ken, a friend of mine gave me an unfinished Hosco soprano kit, which he had trouble getting the thing to fit together. He asked me if I could finish it. The top is already glued on and trimmed but the sides and back have gone out of shape, so I've applied a bit of heat from the iron and clamped it back into shape. Knowing the spool clamps would be useful for future projects, I decided to make them for finishing this kit.

if I'm not mistaken thems is spool clamps fer clampin spools. Either that or clamps made from spools like what thead came on when i was a lad. I believe some people use them to clamp tops and bottoms on musical instruments.

As an asside Paul Sellers latest YouTube videos is on making cam clamps.
