I like funky shapes but wonder how they sound?

The V looks like a debadged Mahalo but the color is off and has a different bridge. the first one reminds me of some they used to have on ebay it was some Fauxtalian name like Silmatini or something to the like. though i do love ukes that are shaped "different" i also want them to sound good.

...i want one so bad

Ah! Beautiful, strange and exotic. Wasn't something like this played by Spock on the original Star Trek series?

great for solos

lol very true sir.

though if im going for strange ukulele... this wins, and i want one so bad

It looks like you could clear off the stage with a neck like that. I wouldn't want to stand next to that on a stage... probably get swept into the wings, or vaulted into the front row!

 Lori

The original knockoffs in this thread should be called the Flake and the Flee.

Okay, I got bored and found it...

The maker is Swagerty, and here's a video of one being played:

and I want one terribly bad.
The single-neck version is called a Treholipee (which sounds like what you get when three alcoholics drink a lot) and was manufactured in the '60s by Swagerty. There's one on eBay right now if you want it that bad...$350 (they generally go for $200-$400).

i could be wrong but i think Dominic has one... i think i read that in a thread somewhere, but i think he uses it as just a wall hanger. damn i should check my facts.

but yes i want one just for the sake of it.
