Is it worth the $85?

I've got two tenors but am searching for good volume and crisp bell like tones. I know a few of you have played Caramels with acacia tops. What is your verdict?
Anybody have a sound sample?

Shipping problems aside Caramel does a good job, but may need some setting up. Is a solid top really that much better?

After reading the one review that intonation is not that good, maybe the strings just need to be changed, many times that helps a lot. Sure is a good price, I've bought that preamp for about $12, and shipping alone can be upwards of $50.
