Reusing a string after I took it off the ukulele?

Yes you can, happy strummings.. thats whey when I put strings on, I leave them a bit longer until I know I will keep them on if I like them :)

Just say no to low G! :shaka:

But, if you really have to try it, it's eaasier to reuse if you have a slotted bridge or a pin bridge. If you have a tie bridge, try to leave the "knot" intact, just pull the string through the loop, then if you want to put it back on, just push the string back through the little loop and reinstall. I usually only reuse strings from a concert to a soprano.

I reuse unbroken strings as long as they give a sound :D

I started doing this because electric bass strings were too expensive, from 20 to 50 euros a set, so I never throw them in the garbage, until they were dead.

by far, I've dismounted and restrung Aquila New Nylgut, Super Nylgut and D'Addario Carbon, without issues.
