Ukulele Care and Other Questions

Does anyone have a good resource for ukulele care?

Examples:

Best places to buy parts/strings/replacement saddles
Best tools/products to polish frets, clean/oil fretboard
Best products for different ukulele finishes/wood types

And so on...

It would be great to see all of these resources in one place.

Also...has anyone done research on string preferences? I know there are a lot of opinions, but an actual survey? If not, should I put together a survey? And if so, what strings should be included, and what questions should be asked?

Stew-Mac (http://stewmac.com) is a good resource, but just doing a search on eBay for specific items gets a long list of choices. There have been tons of posts about string preferences.

Basically, string preference boils down to what kind of sound the player likes to hear, as against 'the best strings'.

Then there's the differences in woods/laminates & uke size.

Likewise, with what to use on the neck/body to clean & refurb it/them.
