Kala KA-8 laminate or solid?

Does anyone know if the 8 string kala ka-8 is solid or laminate? I've been looking around and I can't find any information on it. I want to know whether or not it's worth it to invest in a hard case and humidifier for it.

There are two of them. A high gloss mahogany laminate one (mine) KA-8, and a much more expensive solid Acacia one (KA-ASAC-T8). The second one, I might add, is very, very nice looking. Mine (lam.) is also very nice looking, and I like it a lot. I don't like solid wood Ukes. The upkeep and risk of cracks is too much trouble for me. My old ears probably couldn't tell the difference in sound anyway.

Be careful buying a case. Eighters won't fit in some tenor cases--too long, but I'd rather have a gig bag anyway. ld:
