Hi there,

as I'm quite new to the forum, I thought that you'd perhaps like to see some photos of an 'ukulele my husband and I really enjoy.

In the following photos, you can see my husband's Maestro cocobolo concert with cedar top and a tenor neck ... And I would love another Kanile'a, perhaps a Diamond ... But for the moment, I'm still very happy with my Kanile'a K1 which is a beautiful instrument.

We love, love love pictures of ukes around here. Really beautiful, thanks for sharing.

Good lordy. This is where the worlds of "musical instrument" and "fine art" intersect. Those are just unspeakably gorgeous and pure class all the way. Wiping drool off my keyboard as I type. Congratulations. I hope you get 100 years of enjoyment from them!

Holy cow. You each have to die for ukes. Congrats. And welcome to UU forum. I have a solid Cocobolo Ukulele that I am so in love with!

Wow! I love the fat bottom on the Super Tenor. Post a video so we can hear them. Please.:)

Congratulations Kanya. I have met the luthier who built your husband's Maestro. But I have never played his ukuleles. I have only played his guitars, and they are also wonderful works of art. What made him buy the Maestro?

My husband simply spotted Maestro 'ukuleles on the internet and instantly fell in love with them. It's a really well-made instrument and we were positively surprised of its high quality. The luthier who made it obviously took great care of all the little details which are important for a good 'ukulele and you can see, feel and hear that this instrument was made with love. As my husband really likes to play it, he now bought a Maestro padauk tenor which is lovely as well. You can find photos of it here (- as I initially had some problems with the photos you need to scroll down in the thread to see all the pictures): http://forum.ukuleleunderground.com/showthread.php?120692-quot-Double-quot-NUD-GString-Concert-and-Maestro-Padauk-Tenor-%29%29

These are very gorgeous, congratulations. :)

Did you buy them from Andreas? I hadn't heard of Maestro before I saw some of the beautiful models he'd featured in his store.

Yes, we bought them from Andreas. We were really lucky to purchase the padauk tenor: I had seen it on Maestro's timeline on Facebook which made me contact them. They let me know that two new padauk instruments (a concert and a tenor) were already on their way to Andreas. They arrived about one week later and we were lucky to buy this beauty.

Andreas (of gute-ukulele.de) is great to work with. Whenever I exchange emails with him for a while, I end up buying yet another ukulele. :D Definitely a great source of quality ukes, without having to deal with the import hassles (which doesn't come out cheaper, either). He's just sold me a Pono (hrm, my spellchecker wanted to turn this into "porno") baritone that hadn't been listed in the store yet -- and my two KoAlohas were bought from him, too. Probably the best ukulele vendor in Germany.

I totally agree: Andreas is a very nice person to deal with and a connoisseur of high quality 'ukuleles.

He has a very nice website as well with a really nice selection of ukes. Never heard of maestro before either, but if they sound anything like how they look, then they seem under priced indeed. My german is sketchy at best but managed to use the site anyway.
