My Pono still has the fluorocarbon strings it came with from HMS a year ago and I thought is was time to change them out. They still sound OK but after getting a second high-g strung Cordoba tenor with low tension strings I noticed how much easier low tension strings are on my hands. I guess I'm at an age where if I play too much I get paid back with pain. :( In a previous discussion I had with somebody here, they suggested a set of low tension strings that still sounded good on a Pono. Note, if I could have found that discussion with the search function or by looking in my posting history (it seems they don't hang onto everything) I wouldn't have posted this.

Thanks,

I have a Pono MT strung with a Southcoast ML-WB string set. I believe they are considered medium tension but they are quite easy on my fingers and they sound fantastic on the MT.

I see another Southcoast evangelist beat me to it, but yeah, there are several options here: http://www.southcoastukes.com/linear.htm

LML-NW would be a little lower than the ML and LL-NW would be even lower
