Hi all - I've become very interested in the Kala KA-JTE/HBC Archtop Tenor. If anyone has one they'd consider selling, I'd be happy to hear about it. I'd also be interested in hearing from anyone who has (or had) one on what you think of it. Thanks!

I wouldn't buy off amazon for fear of no-setup. But I love the look of these archtops. I would bet someone on here has one here on UU that they're not using/playing

Like most archtops; they are quiet. I've played a few Kalas and own a Chennell baritone archtop. None had the projection I'm looking for. The Chennell plays incredibly, sounds great; just quiet. I have steel strings on now and will be going back to Southcoast and adding a pickup. Will really bring out the jazz sound locked inside.

I sent a PM to the OP that I have one of these for sale $150 shipped to anywhere in the lower 48 states. I have not heard back from him so I thought I would hijack this thread and offer it for sale.
It has maybe an hour of playing time and can be described as new and in the box since I still have the box.

Apologies, John. Traveling took me away from the Capt's Chair for a few days. pm sent back!.

Some photos of my uke were requested. I didn't make a label but I promise I just took these pictures.

When I say that something is still in the wrapper, it is still in the wrapper. This is the box that it came in.

That's really nice-looking. I like that color better than the one that MIM has. Did you get it from her?
