So my mum is a huge parrothead(I was practically raised on Jimmy Buffett as well as the Beach Boys, but I'll tackle them in September for my Dad), and her birthday is coming up in May, so I was thinking about attempting to cover it on uke, and making a video of it for her, I dont know if it will work at all, but I am willing to give it a shot

never having done such a thing im kind of stuck, so any words of advise would be greatly appreciated!

Being involved in the JB world myself and as a musician I can help.
First, Volcano is a pretty straight forward song. Here's a link to a tab of Volcano: http://www.guitaretab.com/b/buffett-jimmy/2652.html

If youre not entirely familiar with uke chords, there are plenty of places to study charts and play this on th euke. Just make sure it sounds right to your ears.

Also, if you need some JB goodies, send me a pm and I can hook you up to make your mom's bday REALLY great! Chances are I might even know her.

Good luck. :shaka:

Jumpin Jim's book "Ukulele Island" has it, including the tabs for the finger picking part!!!

was playin it last night... along with several other JB songs, the one I'm tryin to learn is "tryin to reason with hurricane season".

A great gift for her would be some Eric Stone CD's too he does a great song "Everybody Wants To Be Jimmy Buffett" his music is in that parrothead style.
He also has some songs chorded out on his website!!!!
