If you have been lusting for something new to help satisfy your UAS, check out the listing for a new tenor scale Deering banjo uke currently on Ebay. Lowest price I've seen for one that has a piezo pick up and is supposedly set up and ready to go. The banjo has been on my bucket list of challenges for a long time, so maybe now is the time. ( No banjo jokes, please).

Thanks for the heads up. The added tension should help. I do like the regular 17 fret tenor banjo though (can still be tuned GCEA) ...$100 less but with no pickup. Like the metal strings.

I already have the Deering 17-inch tenor banjo and concert-scale banjo uke. Both have 11-inch heads and significant weight. This new tenor-scale banjo uke (unless I read the Deering website wrong) sports a 12-inch head. That's even more weight to tote.

That's why I refer to Beansprout banjo ukes as being built like a bank vault!
