I've got a wound low-G string and set my soprano in D3-G3-B3-E4. It is baritone tuning and exactly the same tuning as the top four strings of the guitar and 5 step down from standard low G tuning, which is G3-C4-E4-A4. It is of course flabby but it is fun with soprano's handiness. Because it has low tension, it is more easy to play. It is very quiet too.

Has anyone tried this tuning?

Its down tuned, not placing more tension on the strings but less.

You can also use the Southcoast XLL set for DGBE tuning at a normal tension but octave higher on the soprano.

I've shift my strings shown below.

Low G strings are wound strings of classical guitar. All of the strings have good tension and good sustain now. Especially I like the sound of 2nd and 3rd strings.
