Not technically ukulele, but my wife is interested in the cricket violin. She is laid up with a foot fracture so I'd like to get it quickly if possible so she's less bored :). Does anyone have one for sale?

Thanks!

Yes, it would be a 3 week wait to order it new. The idea here is to distract her from pain/boredom as soon as possible. If I don't hear of one available I will buy one new...

Yeah I figured that was going to be the case at hand. There is one... a sapphire blue one upgraded with pegheads and a pickup installed on Ebay shipping from Kentucky if nothing comes up here. You are golden if blue is her fav. color.

The price makes me shudder but its a bit cheaper than the main site with the upgrades. I would imagine you already know this though.

EDIT: There is also a list of dealers on the magic fluke site. Maybe one close to you has some in stock? http://www.magicfluke.com/Dealers-s/1842.htm

~good luck~ and I hope she gets better quickly.

I was able to find two authorized dealers that currently have them in stock:

Elderly for $458
http://www.elderly.com/magic-fluke-company-cricket-violin-with-pickup.htm

and Penny Lane Emporium for $513
https://www.pennylaneemporium.com/products/violins/the-magic-fluke-cricketric-acoustic-violin-with-gig-bag-bow-and-rosin/

The ONLY UU member that I know of that has an MFC Cricket is Ivan Olarte (Olarte) and he was MASSIVELY fond of it, did a huge write up here on both UU and his own web site, which was (and STILL IS) in fact FEATURED on the MFC web site.

He's not been on the forum in about 9 months or so that I've seen and I think he'd be hard pressed to sell it in any case.

You might have better luck on a violin or fiddle forum if you defintely want a USED one...

Hope This Helps! :)
