After a lovely meal and plenty of wine with friends a couple of months ago, I was asked to make an instrument with the empty wine box. It was the least I could do so here it is. Tenor scale.

Beautiful concept, and it gets better with age. I'd do the same, except wine came in a cheap plastic bag.
Very fitting headstock logo ;)!

well as you can imagine, it doesn't sound like a high end uke, but it does make a noise like one, not bad for a fun project. I don't play my self, but if I get chance I'll record a sample and post it.

OMG that looks AWESOME - thanks for sharing this!
Even if it's not high-end sounding, that would be awesome for a wine-connoisseur-uke-player to have out on display...
and likely it would get played when folks came for a visit and saw it next to the Merlot...

I love different. My first thought was how to do one as bass uke.

Ha! you and me both brother!
A long box like that makes me think of a standup or upright bass style, just add like half a chair leg to the bottom and you're all set! (playing seated like a cello)...
