Hey Folks,

For sale is my Toda custom concert ukulele. I bought it here last year from Andrew.
Andrew and I made a perfect transaction and I would be glad to reiterate but this time as a seller.

It is in very good condition (only a few marks of playing on the pickguard), slightly used, always wiped away after use and always stored in its original case. I really take care of my instruments.

I play my Toda Tenor a lot and I need to ration my musical instruments collection.

Here is the original ad at Dolphins guitars website to let you get all the specs and nice pictures : http://www.dolphin-gt.co.jp/stock/6617eb/

Here are some pictures taken today (with my phone... sorry) :

I'm looking to clear 1300 euros which equates to around US$1,440, plus shipping. PayPal is fine, if you take the fees.

Please do not hesitate if you have any question.

I had a Spruce Toda Tenor..it's definitely a high quality uke, the build is perfect, the neck is smooth and very easy to play.
Toda is one of the most popular and high reputation uke in Japan and Thailand. It's a rare find and worth every penny

I'm looking for a cedar top Toda tenor now.

Thank you Coolcow. I love TODA's work too.
There was a nice Cedar top Toda tenor for sale at Dolphins guitars a few weeks ago.
I hope you'll find one.

Cheers,

JB

Yes I saw that one but I was too late...when I emailed Dolphins Guitars...it's already on hold. :(

I recently acquired a solid maple bodied, spruce topped concert....one of my favorites. Amazing tones.

I agree Phil. Yes the Toda ukes sound has power and brilliance. It is rich and precise at the same time.

Just to chip in, this used to be mine and is a very cool uke. I had smooth dealings with JB and know he was blown away as he went and ordered the Toda tenor a matter of days later! Hopefully this one can have the same impact on another new home.

Hey Andrew :) Thanks.

If my budget wasn't limited I would keep it for sure. It's a gorgeous concert uke.

Price down : 1250 euros, PayPal fee and shipping included

Cheers,
JB

I could also be interested in trading it for a tenor (Mya Moe, Collings, Toda,...).

Here are two videos showing Corey Fujimoto at HMS playing Toda ukes. They inspired me so much that I share them :) Enjoy !

Well, my Ukulele cash box is empty at the moment but however I am wondering what that "NY" inlay means and how heavy this Uke is.

Besides that: That is a beautiful Uke.

Hi,
I have never known what the NY letters mean. We all thought about New York... But I can't be sure.
The uke is very light. I would say that the Toda design is really optimized regarding the instrument weight. My tenor is really light too. Both sound full though with a lot of harmonics.

Best,
JB

Guys,
I Will fly from Paris to San Francisco next tuesday and will stay in California for 3 weeks (Burning Man).
I will leave my 2 sale posts open but won't be able to answer as quickly as before.

Until monday I still can post the uke to a happy new owner :) hurry up !

Best,
JB
