Arpeggio and Travis picking

I have a question about root (bass) notes on arpeggio and Travis picking. We play root notes first when change chords in arpeggio and Travis picking on guitar shown in the figure below.

It gives us bass line and rhythm. We use bottom 3 strings for these root notes in guitar. We only have 4 strings in ukulele. I think it is hard to play these root notes first every chord change in ukulele (See the figure above). If we don't play these root notes first, strumming may sound better than arpeggio or Travis picking. How do we play arpeggio and Travis picking on ukulele?
 
You might try a low G string.

It is not impossible to get the root notes on 4th string. And it may work on high G too.
C-5433, F-10988, G7-0212, D-7655, Em-9777, Am-2000.....
