I just found a beautiful uke just sitting on the side of the road in a trash pile. It's a Ohana SK-25z, or at least that's what the sticker says. The strange thing is that when I google the instrument, it says that it has geared tuners, but this one doesn't seem to. Is it possible for a uke to have geared tuners AND tuning pegs in the back? If not, can anyone explain whats going on? Thanks a lot.

A picture might help

Here is an Ohana SK-25z with friction tuners:

And another:

Looks like this uke had both.

I did a simple Google image search to find the friction tuner examples:
https://www.google.com/search?q=Oha...KiYKHUTUD8oQ_AUICigD&biw=1768&bih=867#imgrc=_

You can see at least 3 or 4 friction tuner sk-25z in the first 3 rows, as well as gear tuner version.

Mystery solved. =)

Hmpfh! Why can't I find that kind of trash along side of the road?

Me too. Someone please throw a nice one up in my yard while it's NOT raining! Then picking my trashy neighbors' litter up wouldn't seem so bad!

Jim Hanks is right, a picture would help. As a guess, could be Peghead or UPT tuners, which are actually geared tuners that resemble friction in appearance.

That's where my wife put my ukulele!

Just kidding... but I strongly believe if she could get away with it that's what she'd do to them... I can't help but wonder if something similar happened here...
