Ran into this Slide a while back, can someone tell me how it's done going from the G to the E string?

Thanks

That doesn't make any sense, does it? I have 2 thoughts 1) it is not actually a slide, but whatever it is is beyond my comprehension, so you would need to wait for someone who knows more about music than I do, or 2) it's a mistake, but assuming the notes are correct, you could just slide up from the 3rd fret on the E string to get the desired effect (assuming it's written for re-entrant tuning).

The only way that I can make a slide to the fifth fret second string is,
(pluck the 4th string, then,)
either a hammer on at the third sliding to the fifth,
else do a slide up to the fifth on the second string,
but I agree, that tab just looks wrong. :)

Figured I could do the slide from the 3rd to the 5th on the E but thought it must have been written like this for a reason. Meant to mention the tab is Ken Middleton's "Down By The Sally Garden", from what I can tell he's a pretty careful guy.

Thought being a newbee it was something everyone but me would know.

I'll drop him a note.

Per KM "You actually slide up from the 3rd fret of the 2nd string to the 5th fret. The open 4th string carries on ringing."
