I just put together a channel on YouTube where people with either great lyrics or melodies can go to find the other half: music to go with their lyrics or lyrics to go with their melodies.
There are three playlists: Lyrics looking for music; music looking for lyrics; and completed collabs. I've posted the username and password so anyone can sign in and either upload onto the channel or make one of their own vids a part of one of the three playlists. In that there's no admin, folks might not want to depend upon the channel as a repository for completed work. Put those on your site but add them to the songolator playlist. Yes, evil ones could go in and trash things a bit, but if completed works are hosted elsewhere, it shouldn't matter.
Check it out and see what you think. Might this be helpful? Any screaming problems with the idea? (For one, I'm thinking it could get crazy if many people try to sign on at the same time.) What else?
