Song Help Request Tegan and Sara U-Turn Riff (time sensitive)

I'm trying to figure out how to play the riff at the beginning of "U-Turn" by Tegan and Sara. I have tried everything, including playing each note of the chord separately, finding the tonic and playing either up or down to it, and putting a guitar tab for the solo through the converter on Ukulele Tabs. Nothing sounds right. I need to learn this for Monday. Can anyone help me?

I am assuming you are talking about the higher synth voice and not the bass line, right?
The pitches are G and Eb the first two bars and Ab and G the next two bars. I don't have time to write out the rhythm, but I think you can get it from listening. The chords are Eb and Ab.
