Spruce Opio?

I checked my Twitter feed this morning, and KoAloha posted this video of a Spruce Opio Tenor:

What? Spruce? When did that happen? Great. Now I need to spend another $650 or so...

HMS has had them up on their Vimeo channel for about 5 days now. I obsessively check that site a couple times a day, great way to hear new stuff. Bad for UAS.......even worse for the bank account

Koaloha Opio line really rocks. They are so easy to play with a jaw-dropping volume and tone.
This particular model is kinda weird to see (uglier to me than All-Acacia that is stunningly beautiful or the simple but charming sapele), but has a great tone.
Still prefer Sapele model, but it seems lovely!

When I got my Opio, the first thought that came to me after playing it for a few week was "how great it would be to have one with a spruce top". I love the feel of KoAloha tenor in my hands. The action is so good. The bound neck feels and plays great. Now, we have it! I think this is going to be a winner. It's on my list now and I'm sure once I play one , I will get one.
