Hi
I'm a brand new member from France, 32yo, having played bass for 10 years (and before that sax for another 10 years). I also play ukulele (of course) but with limited skills, so I'm mostly here as a Ubass player !
I would like to start a collaborative project around jazz ukulele in small combo, mostly inspired by Lyle Ritz great albums.
If there is anybody interested, the idea would be the following:
- we choose a song (jazz standards, ..)
- I provide bass lines (or anybody else !)
- someone adds melody, chords, solos, ...
- another solo
- etc..
- not too much because I'd like to keep it minimal (duo/trio/..)
The ideal tool for this is Soundtrap (web-based collaborative DAW).
Tracks could eventually be used by anyone wanting to play solos over them, by keeping only the chords & bass.
If anybody is interested, I just quickly recorded a bass line for Autumn Leaves using SoundTrap.
Just pm me to give me your e-mail adress so I can invite you on soundTrap.
Hope I was clear enough (not a native English speaker).
Thanks !
