Anyone know what year Kamaka changed to mahogany necks? Was there any particular reason? Any difference in sound?

My guess is mahogany would be more stable as a neck wood in a wider more diverse set of environments than Koa.

It has to be early 2000's, I would guess 2001 with the label change. I own a 1998 Tenor with koa neck and I know 1999 still had koa necks as well.
