This uke project started as a board I found on the floor of a woodshop in Baguio City, Philippines in 2014.

A man named Leo planed it, and sawed it into rough shape.

After letting it acclimate to the dry Utah dry, it became the body for a tenor solid body electric ukulele.

It has a 17.5 inch scale length with a single coil pickup, and a volume control.

The neck is mahogany and the fretboard is walnut.

This video shows more about its creation.

Whoa, way cool. I envy you guys that can see a block of wood on the floor and see a uke inside it. Well done.

17.5" scale is unusual. How did you decide on that instead of typical tenor 17"? Just curious.

Wait, hold everything! A vinyl CUTTING MACHINE for the head label, I want one, tell me more about it.

Great video (and uke!). I like how you documented all the key build steps.

What's the last song you played? Sounds like Weezer?

Good ear. It's the bridge and chorus of "Say It Ain't So" by Weezer.

Seeing the video, even if I only have a few databytes, makes it worthwhile. I've seen your blog a few times, and it too is really impressive. ❤️ love your work.
