Not to state something that you likely already know, but

he UT1 K is Collings' entry-level satin lacquer finish tenor model with simplified appointments. But don't let the ''entry-level'' part fool you - it's built with the same quality construction as their higher end models. With solid Koa top, back and side wood.

Standard Features Include:
 Select figured koa body with mahogany neck
 Tortoise and wood nitrite strip rosette
 Satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish
 Unbound traditional "Single-Point" headstock
 Rosewood peghead overlay with inlaid ivoroid Collings logo
 Rosewood fingerboard
 Mortise and tenon neck joint
 19 Frets, neck joins the body at the 13th fret
 "C" shape neck and 1.73" string spacing
 12" Fingerboard radius
 1 3/8" Bone nut
 17" Scale length
 Narrow 18% nickel-silver fretwire
 Ivoroid dot fingerboard inlays
 Collings deluxe hardshell case by Ameritage

$1,300 including shipping, CONUS

I've compared my UT1K to every in-stock tenor at the Music Emporium in Lexington, MA and the Collings' volume and sustain was superior to all of them. It sings. Unfortunately, they didn't have a Kamaka in stock.

I have a UT2M. they are one of the best. I wish I could justify 2 collings, never mind one.
