I just bought Eddie Kamae's "Heart of the Ukulele" album on iTunes, and it's really great stuff. Very worthwhile if you haven't heard of it yet.

Does anyone what tuning Eddie Kamae uses/used, particularly on this album? I can't even tell if it's linear or re-entrant.

Definitely re-entrant. I believe he's moved towards a more linear sound for his more recent material - mainly with a baritone from what I've seen. Good stuff.

I thought he played a double holed tenor guitar ?

He does now. Back in the day he played a Martin 3 soprano. I like this album very much. He really had the tremolo going.

Oops I didn't realize that was in 1962, my mistake.. I think he was playing the tenor guitar well before 2010 though
Here he is playing what looks like a tenor with the sons of hawaii, however this was probally late 60's as it had George kuo in the group.

I thought Eddie played a baritone ukulele.
