So,
I was messing around on my newly-acquired banjo uke, sitting in the living room with my wife in a chair next to me. I said something about the banjo uke and how much I enjoy it.
She gave me a funny look, which (I've figured out, after 20 years) means, "OK honey, if you're happy."
Then she asked, "Is that the instrument you just paid $80 for?" And the look accompanying the question suggested that she didn't think I got all that great of a bargain. I answered, "Yes. And actually, for an instrument like this, that's a really reasonable price."
She then actually said, "As long as you're happy, that's all that matters."
Ah yes, well, I do love her!
