Hello, brothers and sisters.

This site has been so enormously helpful to me as I walk the ukulele road that I can't imagine I'd have had nearly as much fun as I have with my uke without UU.

I'm a tenor player (re-entrant) at the cusp of beginner and intermediate level, and I'd really like to find a teacher here in Chicago. There are classes here at the Old Town School of Folk Music, but they're group classes and later in the evening than I'd like. Plus, I prefer learning one on one or in a small group.

I'd like to explore a jazzier side of uke. For example, my repertoire now includes Nature Boy, Opus One, If I Had You, It Might As Well Be Spring, etc. I also like to accompany myself singing standards pop and jazz tunes. I've learned a fair amount of theory over the years, but I still have trouble coming up with inversions and substitutions. Those are the kind of things I'd like to learn.

But until I find my Ukulele Yoda I'll hanging around here.

Blessings,
PR

I'm not much of a jazzy player, so I might not be able to help you, but take a look anyway and let me know what you think.
