So I started as a finger style, classical player. Have progressed to doing some Celtic and some claw hammer. I am wondering what are some songs that I could learn to just work on strumming. Like songs that require a decent skill level of strumming… Preferably not ones that involve singing/are musically interesting enough that they are not lacking anything by me not singing. Because, I can't stress this enough, you do not want me singing.

Thanks!
Ben

Check out George Elmes on Youtube. And well as any of the vintage greats, such as Formby. I'm not much of a strummer but when I see Elmes play, I think to myself, "Self, one year down the road you need to spend a whole year or three working on that sort of playing."

Holy cow! I'm trying to look for something to help me learn that now… Eddie, that is a perfect song!

Yep, George Elmes is great, he's one of my soprano heroes. :)

The 12th Street Rag is fairly well known and generally impressive:

There are tutorials around.
