uke building class

Just wondering, there is a local luthier who teaches how to fix and build ukes. The cost for tuition for 7 weeks is 5,000. Is this reasonable? Would I be able to make my own ukes after this course? Any one teach or have been to one of these?

You should be able to make a uke without going on a course ....Just do a bit of research, get some wood or a kit and make a start...that's how I started.

A quick google should give you a look at competitive prices
It does not sound too unreasonable for a 7 week intensive course but does sound expensive for a 7 week one night a week course.
These courses even with the travel would be cheaper or not too much more expensive.
