I have a good time tenor ukulele banjo, the strings on it or a little floppy. Do I have any alternatives other than to just tune up a little bit? It looks like The strings are standard Aquila. I am happy with the string tension on my other ukuleles, not sure what the deal is here…

Thanks!
Ben

In general a thicker gauge string will have more tension than a thinner gauge string on the same scale length, as well as BETTER intonation, at the cost of reducing sustain.

Fluoro strings come in more gauges than other kinds.

If you are using 'soprano' or 'concert' strings on your banjolele, you can try 'tenor' strings, which will be thicker, unless you are using Oasis, where there is only the single gauges of 'WARM' or 'BRIGHT' for all scale lengths.

Worth CT/BT are fatter and will have MORE tension than the CM/BM or CE/BE sets, and if the CT/BT are still not enough tension you can go up to Worth CF/BF or CS/BS (which are the similar to their baritone sets)
