hey there - i have downloaded some power tab stuff and I understand the picking but there are a lot of symbols which i don't understand in the slightest!! For example, http://ukulelehunt.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/kilgarywhiskey.pdf - the symbols below / above the chords i don't get

I'm guessing the sideways bracket thing is a pull-off but the ones about the strumming i really don;t know!! anyone got any links to sites that explain it all (i.e. all the power tab symbols!!) as i have tried but can't seem to find one!! only ones on powertab forums explain all the italian musical terms but not the symbols!!
thanks guys!!!

Well, Woodshed doesn't use powertab I don't think. But all the symbols are similar.

I made a chart showing the different names for things.

http://liveukulele.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/tab-legend.pdf

The square "u"s and Is at the bottom are note durations. The "I" is a quarter note, the "L" is a single eighth note, and the "U" is two eighth notes together (each side is an eighth). This is for the people who don't know the song and can sight read the rhythm. The "U"s with the extra line on the bottom are 16th notes. The dot at the backside of a note means "this note and a half" - also known as a dotted [note duration] note. That should just about cover it.

thanks for that - that's great!! I just assumed that was power tab - what software would it be then? anything similar (i.e. legend-wise) for that software? thanks again!! :)
