Dedicated to My Grandfather and his sister Nora.
This song was used by Seán O'Casey in his 1926 play "The Plough and the Stars", but the name "Maggie" was changed to "Nora". Grandfather Coughlin died when I was a baby. He was an Irish-American greengrocer and an orphan, raised by my Great Aunt Nora. He loved to sing Folksongs and My Pop told me this was his Favorite!
