Band Aid was the first big international benefit concert for Ethiopia and about
the same time farmers in the USA were suffering since many of their farms
were being repossessed. This Randy Newman song (Sail Away)which was performed at
Farmaid dealt with the slave trade and perhaps he was hinting that farmers
were no more than slaves.
