Sold: Koa Works custom koa tenor

Sold: a beautiful Koa Works custom tenor. Here are the details: Gorgeous, curly koa tenor body with side sound ports, ebony bridge and saddle, Milo binding with Mango purfling accents on the body & fretboard. Mango is also used for the rosette accented with BW purfling. The finish is a superb high gloss nitro lacquer. Bone nut and saddle, Honduran mahogany neck with a carbon fiber truss rod inlayed under the fretboard in the neck for strength and stability. Matching Curly koa front and back plates with Mango purfling accents on the headstock with the Koa Works abalone (paua) Honu inlay headstock. Gotoh gold tuners. Paua top and side fretboard markers. This is a jaw-dropper. Comes with a Uke Crazy Tweed hard case.

This custom tenor was made by Rich Godfrey (Koa Works) in November 2015 is without flaws, dings, dents or scratches. It is truly in like-new condition. Rich’s builds are precision crafted execution. The neck is very comfy, not too thick or too thin. Currently strung with Oasis Warms + Fremont Soloist. The intonation is spot on and the tone is loud, rich and clear. Excellent trebles with a good bass. Sounds great strummed or picked, and re-entrant or low g. I should be keeping this, but I’ve got too many nice ukes and some have to go.

Sold.

Current sound sample: low g

You have some of the nicest ukes! :) It's good you are overseas, or the temptation would again be very strong.

Lovely looking and sounding, Hodge. Somebody will snap this up in a jiffy!
