I'm not much of a classical style player, but I want to share with you the glory of Aquila dGBE tenor ukulele strings on a short scale baritone. The instrument is a Romanian, solid mahogany 'Hora' baritone, set up with said strings. It's got twelve frets to the body, and when I suddenly needed new strings on it, I thought I'd check how a re-entrant (high D) tuning would sound. I realized that I only had those tenor strings in my office, so there you go..
I think the sound and tone is very, very nice...discovered by accident. The iPhone camera may not be the ultimate recording device, but it gives an impression.
