This was the first song I ever performed on ukulele in public, other than during the local ukulele groups. When I did it in 2011, it was at my father-in-law's memorial service, and I played it on the KoAloha Scepter that my mother-in-law had so generously helped me purchase.
Well, now my mother-in law has passed away - I played that KoAloha at her Life Celebration last weekend in Los Gatos... I don't know if anyone did a video of it, but there it was - I can't play the ukulele without thinking of how much my in-laws made it possible for me to do so.
And now, I play at Farmers' Markets, like the one in Amsterdam, NY where I played today, and recorded this one, for Season 278:
