Killing the Blues. The song is written by Roland Salley yet I know this song through Chris Smither. A previous version of this song was the first song I uploaded to YouTube but I took it down a few years ago with the intention of uploading a better version. Its been a while but here it is,



I'm still honing a few technical issues but this is pretty good.

Thank you. I'm just reinterpreting Chris Smithers version of the song. I read an interview with Chris Smither a few years ago where Chris said that his style came about from listening to great players like Mississippi John Hurt (who I also like) and trying to figure out what he was doing (no internet then) yet developing his own style along the way.

I'm pretty much doing the same thing. Chris plays this song in open tuning but I pretty much figured out my own way of playing it in (kind of) standard tuning.
