D'addario vs. Aquila

Yea.. It really depands on the Uke.. I have aquilas on my Kala KA-C concert. J71 on a Tenor Lehua that I just got rid off, but I tried different strings till I settled on the one I thought sounded the best on the specific uke...

Its part of the fun.. trying different setup :D

Good luck

I like Aquilas..............

What about for a Kamaka. I want to try Aquila's but I'm not sure

I personally didnt like the aquilas on my hf3. It came with J71's.. Sounded dead to me. Put on the aquilas and took it off within an hour.. Too twangy and sounded harsh.. I seattled on Worth Browns..

But then again, you have a concert.. its worth trying

Could someone explain the differences between Aquilas and D'Addarios?

I have Aquilas on my solid mahogany tenor (Kala), but was thinking of trying D'Addarios next time i need to change strings.
What differences will I notice?

What would you guys recommend for a kanilea tenor? ... i want to change to a low G strings.

Worth browns on my Kamaka concert really nice sound. I think Aquilas would have too much tension and that the koa is bright enough and loud enough that Aquilas are overkill.
