I heard that Elvis plays a Ukulele in this move from 1961. Does anyone here know if he played it himself or did a studio player do the actual recording?

On another NOTE, I just checked the price for a DVD (a two set actually - Blue Hawaii and Paradise - Hawaiian Style) and it was $60 used and $85 new! Must be rare!

It sure looks like he's playing real chords. BTW, I found it on Amazon for as low as $5.99 for the DVD ($20 for the remastered in stereo version) and $14.99 in digital hd on iTunes.

Thanks for sharing that video clip, Scooter. It brought back fond memories of my youth when I idolized Elvis.

Those shorts were painted on, weren't they?

According to the official Graceland site (https://www.graceland.com/blog/elvis-presley-the-musician/), Elvis "toyed" with the ukulele. I don't care for their verb choice :p, but apparently he did play.

Where do you think they got the idea for 'Hot Pants'. ;)
