Hello,

I've been playing ukulele since September or October and have gotten fairly proficient at it. Well, good enough for rock and roll and singalongs. But now I've been asked to play a gig for a local college, and they want it to sound Hawaiian. I've decided to play with my nephew, who is a capable guitarist and plan to just play a few different chord progressions as he creates swoony Hawaiian leads on the electric guitar.

That said, anyone know of a handful of chord progressions that scream Hawaiian and would be easy for someone to solo over? I'm guessing all chords are Hawaiian if you play them right, but if some are more Island than others, I'd like to know.

Sorry for the goofy question but thanks for your help!

Daniel
