Hi All,

For sale or trade (interested in a tenor) is my Kamaka soprano. Here are the details:

One owner
Purchased new a few months ago
12/31/16 build date (last of the anniversary models)
No marks or issues
Good action/intonation. Factory setup.
Kamaka strings
Kamaka Anniversary case
Kamaka warranty card (not filled out)
$775 shipped in the US

There are two models shown in the thread, a 100th anniversary soprano and a non 100th anniversary concert model, both open for sale and trade?

Great catch....Thanks! The concert has been sold. I'll update the photos. UDPATE: All photos are of the soprano now.

"12/31/16 build date".... ???

just curious, from what i understand, kamaka was taking orders for their anniversary models up to 12/31/16, i.e. some cannot realistically be manufactured until into 2017.

"December 31 is the last day we will take orders for 2016 ukuleles. Thank so much for celebrating our 100th Anniversary with us! "

your serial number is 163174.
I have seen ones with serial number 1636xxx

I sincerely doubt they were pumping out 300+ ukus on new year's eve.

who or where did they tell you the "12/31/16 build date"? on the uku or on the warranty?

Kamaka has been date stamping the neck block for decades. This one is dated 12/31/16.

well, that confirms what i have stated: all 'orders' for 2016 anniversary models that weren't physically produced in 2016 got a 12/31/16 "build date".

Seems to me that date makes it somewhat special. It would be cool to have that one and one dated 1/1/16.

yes and no,
yes: it's cool to be "(last of the anniversary models)"
no: there are 300 or so other ones with the same date... the 100th anniversary models are already unique.
