I'm thinking of trying low G. Researching, it seems most jazz ukulele music is in low G. I've read, that low G is better for chord comping in Jazz. Correct me if I'm wrong but that is my newbie perception.

So, looking for suggestion on good tab hook to learn some tunes. I follow tab Ok as long as I can hear the music. So, looking for a book with both tab and CD to get started.

Comments and suggestion. I've only played High G so far. Never and Jazz music. Jazz would seem to be a good way to go! But Ive never played any so what do I know.

Thanks in advance

Along with Craig Brandau's book, look for Fred Sokolow & Paul Hemmings.
James Hill has a nice Jazz Book with listening and play along cd's that are part of his "The Ukulele Way".

I recently bought a Lyle Ritz book of Jazz Standards. He played re-entrant tuned ukuleles. I like low G, I have a Glen Rose book as well. You need both and a Baritone, and a Tenor with reentrant Baritone tuning and a........

You can't have too many ukuleles.
