This model was introduced in late 2013 by Kanile'a - the KSDLX-T (Spruce Top Deluxe Tenor). It has an ebony bridge, fingerboard and faceplate, along with Kailua beach sand for the logo and fretmarker inlays. This is the only one I've ever seen with the bearclaw spruce.
The spruce top and koa b/s give this one a beautiful full tone....it sounds awesome all across the tonal range.
Bearclaw sitka spruce top, Tight curl honey colored Koa b/s, Deluxe koa body and rosette, Ebony flat-fretboard, Pin bridge, Top binding, Tusq saddle and nut, Ebony faced headstock, South American mahogany neck, Rounded back, Bridge pins, Gold open-geared Kanilea tuners, UV-cured high gloss Polyester finish (They use the same UV-cured polyester finish/process that Taylor Guitar uses), LR Baggs 5.0 active pickup, Fitted Ko'olau hard case included.
LR Baggs pickup installed and set-up accomplished at HMS.
