Just noticed that one of my cats has been chomping on my stereo's speaker cables to the point where they need to be replaced. Anyone have a recommendation for 8' foot cables with banana plugs that won't break the bank? Lots of choices out there, from dirt cheap to insanely expensive, but I want something commensurate with my other components (Rotel amp, NAD CD Player, B&W speakers)--leaning more toward affordable than boutique.

They will mostly certainly be used for the playback of ukulele recordings! And I'll spray them with bitter apple or whatever else might keep the cats away.

For the past 15 yrs, for both personal and professional use, for ALL cables, whether audio or computer, I've always gotten my cables from Monoprice. They have a lifetime warranty on most, and I've never, ever had a problem with their cables. I cant speak to their other products, as they now seem to want to be a combo of BestBuy + Radio Shack + Guitar Center with the current product spectrum.

Their own brand is as good as anything Mogami, Neutrik, or Switchcraft (all higher-end cables & connectors).

If this is what you are looking for:

Then maybe this is the product you want (10ft for $9.79 on sale right now:

otherwise, you may find something else to use from here:

Hope this helps! :)

Thanks! Just the sort of recommendation I was hoping for.
