I wanted to bring everyone's attention to a great cause that we could use your help on!
A young new teacher that I've worked with and who has come to observe my classroom has committed to starting a music program at a school for young women in Kenya, the Jane Adeny Memorial School. It's a school that attempts to offer a quality education for girls that is not normally available to them unless their families are rich.
She is looking to raise funds to purchase 25-30 ukuleles to get the program started, and will be teaching at this school as her first teaching job.
