Rest in peace Pat DiNizio of the Smithereens

The best tributes are often unplanned and your performance represents Pat and the band so well. He will be missed but his songs live on forever. Well done on all counts. Nice ukes btw, great sound!

Blood and Roses, what a song and what a fantastic tribute!

THANKS

I met Pat when he performed at my school when I was in college. (Rutgers/Newark)

I had a weekly radio show and did other production for the school radio station (WRNU) and my time slot and his availability the day of the The Smithereens' performance just happened to work out. Could have been any other DJ 'on staff' to do the interview, but I was handed a list of questions, and given 5 mins at the end to ask my own - it was a great experience.

Nowadays, lots of things are either pre-taped or on a 5-min delay, but this was live and raw. Somewhere I may still have a recording on cassette.

Pat was really down-to-earth, very smart and very kind to everyone I saw him interact with. I loved the concert that night.

He will be missed. :music:

Fabuloso! Takes me back to a good time in my life.
