For owner/operators of vintage baritones, what strings do you like? Mine is a Vega Arthur Godfrey Standard Baritone made in the early 50s. It's solid mahogany, has a 19" scale and friction tuners. It stays in tune and the intonation is excellent.

Not especially for an older uke, but I like Living Water fluorocarbon strings on most of my ukes, (concert, tenor, & baritone). :)

I use Martin Baritone strings on my old vintage mahogany baritones and Southcoast HL-WB on my newer ones.

I've used Marin fluorocarbon baritone strings and Aquila Nylguts on vintage baritones. With new-to-me baritones, I usually start with Martin strings, as they are inexpensive, then decide what needs changing in the sound, feel, and tension after I play it a while.
